ALDG
The Association of Local Distributors of Gas Ltd (ALDG) is a body corporate incorporated under the CAMA as a company limited by guarantee, with legal personality distinct from its Members.
ALDG was established in February 2020 to promote all activities within the Natural Gas distribution value chain, to encourage the development of Natural Gas distribution business in Nigeria; and to promote the safe transmission, distribution, and utilisation of Natural Gas.
Our specific objectives are:
- Regulatory advocacy by effective engagement with regulatory bodies, relevant Government MDAs and key stakeholders
- Promote best practices in gas sector operations and management
- Explore and promote new technologies, knowledge sharing and capacity building
- Deepen Natural Gas utilisation and champion gas-based industrialisation
- To undertake or engage in any other lawful activity necessary, conductive or incidental to and/or generally aimed at promoting the domestic gas industry
Membership is open to all players in the downstream gas distribution and supply value chain either via physical pipelines or virtual pipelines (CNG & LNG) or those providing EPC services or involved in the development natural gas distribution infrastructure
Our Team

Kehinde Alabi
Board Chairman
Kehinde Alabi is the Managing Director of Axxela Gas Distribution and the Chairman of the Association of Local Distributors of Gas (ALDG). He is a seasoned finance and business leader with over two decades of experience in financial services, power, and oil & gas.
In his current role, Kehinde Alabi is responsible for strengthening Axxela’s position as a leading player in Nigeria’s natural gas landscape, expanding the company’s gas distribution service area, and overseeing the establishment of virtual pipeline solutions to niche and underserved markets.

Olakunle Williams
DEPUtY CHAIRMAN
Olakunle Williams is the CEO of Tetracore Energy Group, where he leads the Group’s strategic direction and growth across Africa’s energy markets. A seasoned gas professional, Olakunle has played a pivotal role in the sector’s development, with prior experience at Deloitte and NNPC.
He received the Vanguard Energy Icon Award in 2025 and was honoured with the Nigerian Domestic Gas Ambassador Award by the Nigerian Gas Association in 2022. He is a member of the Governing Board of the Association of Local Distributors of Gas.

Audrey Joe-Ezigbo
Board Member
Audrey Joe-Ezigbo is the Managing Director of Falcon Corporation Ltd, a leading wholly indigenous midstream and downstream energy, gas distribution and trading company, which she co-founded in 1994.
An accomplished energy leader, Audrey Joe-Ezigbo served as President of the Nigerian Gas Association (NGA) from 2018 to 2021, the first woman to hold the position in the Association’s 22-year history. She is a member of the Governing Board of the Association of Local Distributors of Gas

Sumeet Singh
Board Member
Sumeet is a dynamic individual with strong Business, Project Finance, Project Management, and Engineering experience across Europe, Asia, and Africa. An electronic engineer by training, Sumeet understands both the commercial and technical aspects of the Energy & Gas distribution business. Sumeet began his career at Alstom as a Project Engineer for a 1250 MW hydro project in Sudan.
Sumeet has developed a thorough understanding of the Nigerian energy sector and has been a key member of the Strategic Planning, Corporate Finance and Business Development Team since inception.

Dr. Emeka Okwuosa
Board Member
Emeka Okwuosa is a seasoned engineer, administrator, entrepreneur and visionary with over 40 years of post-graduation experience in engineering and management in the following areas: maintenance and operations, teaching, wireline logging and interpretation, seismic acquisition, processing and interpretation, pipeline and facilities engineering, procurement and construction (EPC), project management, drilling and drilling services. Some of these activities span Europe, North Africa, West Africa, the Gulf of Guinea/Central Africa and South East Asia.

Lekan Adekeye
Board Member
Lekan Adekeye is a seasoned senior executive with over 20 years of cross-sector experience spanning Oil & Gas, FMCG, and FinTech. He has held key leadership roles, including Managing Director, Deputy MD, Project Director, General Manager, and Head of Strategy, Human Capital, Business Development, and Business Solutions across organisations in Nigeria, Ghana, and the United Kingdom.
Before joining Viathan, he served as Chief Operating Officer at Duport Midstream Company Ltd (Nigeria), where he led condensate supply and trading operations and delivered a multi-million-dollar integrated energy infrastructure project comprising a refinery, gas processing plant, storage tanks, power plant, and CNG facility. His earlier career includes roles at Guinness Nigeria Plc, Oando Plc, Gas Terminalling Ltd, UBI Group, Ebony Oil & Gas, HSBC, Citi Group, and Vocalink (formerly BACS UK).
The Secretariat
The ALDG Secretariat is responsible for the day to day running of the Association under the supervision of the Executive Secretary who is the principal officer.
The secretariat works to actively engage the public through programmes and research geared towards utilisation of natural gas in Nigeria.
As an administrative arm of the Association, the secretariat provides administrative services such as preparation of budget, keeping of books and record, managing accounts and all other services necessary for the effective running of the association.
Engagement with government and industry stakeholders is another important function of the Secretariat. This is necessary to serve the interests of its members and ensure best practices in the gas industry.
Finally, Serving the interest of its members through the provision of support and other ancillary services is at the core of the duties of the secretariat.
