The Association of Local Distributors of Gas (ALDG) has been named as a supporting organisation for the upcoming Nigeria International Energy Summit (NIES), further reinforcing its commitment to advancing Nigeria’s gas sector and energy landscape.

As Nigeria’s official and premier energy event, NIES is a strategic platform for key stakeholders, policymakers, and industry leaders to engage in high-level discussions on the future of energy in Nigeria and across Africa.

This year’s theme, “Bridging Continents – Connecting Investors Worldwide with Africa’s Energy Potential”, underscores the critical role of international collaboration in unlocking Africa’s vast energy resources. It highlights the need for strategic investments, technology transfer, and policy frameworks that will drive sustainable growth and energy security across the continent.

Speaking on ALDG’s involvement, Executive Secretary, Mr Oga Adejo-Ogiri, stated:

“The Nigeria International Energy Summit is a crucial platform for driving conversations around Nigeria’s energy transition and the role of gas in achieving sustainable economic growth. As a supporting organisation, ALDG is proud to contribute to this dialogue and advocate for policies that strengthen the domestic gas market, ensuring last-mile delivery to industries, businesses, and households.”

By partnering with NIES, ALDG aims to highlight the pivotal role of local gas distributors in enhancing energy security, driving industrialization, and fostering economic development in Nigeria. The Summit provides a valuable opportunity for stakeholders to explore investment prospects, emerging technologies, and regulatory advancements in the energy sector.

The Nigeria International Energy Summit 2025 is set to take place from February 24th to 27th in Abuja, Nigeria, bringing together global energy experts, investors, and government officials.
